I wish I was a postmodern artist, or had the eye for photography, the poetic ingenuity for writing, the talent for music, or the dare for fashion.
However....
I will never be sage-like in any of these things and will not be collectively disappointed as a result. Instead, I will enjoy myself if you present me with a paintbrush and an insect-shaped dish that I can colour wild. I will carry my camera everywhere and use the built-in features for the appearance of professionalism. I will find inspiration to write but will not boil everything down to symbolism. I will keep at my attempt to play the guitar and will complain when my calluses are hurting. And I will love shopping and make fashion mistakes that I will pass off as being "original".
